Here’s a brief insight into what the day to day role of a collections advisor will involve:
As you will have already worked in a collections advisor role, you’ll understand that a lot of the job will involve carefully listening to the customers and making sure you ask loads of open questions to really understand their individual circumstances and recognise anyone who may be a bit vulnerable right now.
In this role, you’ll work as a team to make outbound calls and occasionally take inbound calls from customers who have missed payments on their secured or unsecured loan. Your role will be busy and often require a high degree of resilience when handling difficult conversations with customers who may not have spoken to someone before about their debt and be in genuine financial hardship. Your role is to really ensure the customer goes away feeling totally supported by you, with the feeling you really cared about doing the right thing.
You’ll have to show a high degree of empathy and really demonstrate to the customer that you will deliver on your commitment to supporting them, calling them back if necessary to support them throughout their journey.
As well as all that you’ll take time to really develop your own skills with a management team who care about your career development and personal wellbeing. You’ll work with your team manager and team to ensure full compliance within financial regulations and be your best self, enjoying your role and working with a business that really embraces diversity and inclusion.
So, what experience are we looking for?
Your previous collections experience in a fast paced, regulated environment (financial services or utilities) coupled with a knack for recognising vulnerable customers and providing the best possible customer service is what will make your CV really stand out. You should be a passionate team player, always looking for ways to improve customer experience and the commitment to always doing what’s best by your customer and colleagues.
So what you waiting for? Jomo People can’t wait to receive your CV so hit apply now to get the ball rolling for this great remote collections advisor role!
