So lets tell you a bit more about the role….
You’ll have worked in a regulated contact centre complaints or collections leader before, so know what it’s like working in a fast paced, inbound and outbound team leader role. The managers are there to support the collections advisors, ensuring they have all the coaching and training they need to be the best at what they do in a highly customer focused role.
You’ll look after a team of 10-15 collections advisors, who make contact with customers who have recently missed payments on their loan. You’ll cover shifts between the hours of Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm and Saturdays 9am to 1pm. (Don’t worry…. you’ll only work 35 hours per week with Saturdays on a rota!)
As well as being on hand for daily support, you’ll ensure that regular feedback sessions are provided to the advisors about the quality of their work and regulatory compliance, listening to their calls and supporting them to excel in their roles. You’ll also support them to meet their career aspirations, whilst also ensuring you take time to develop your own career goals – ‘cause that’s important too!
Good to know: This contact centre is based just outside Cardiff city centre and it’s a bit tricky to get to if you don’t drive (or cycle!) as public transport is a bit sporadic.
So what experience do you need?
As well as having recent experience in a financial service collections team leader or financial services regulated complaints team leader role, you’ll demonstrate a passion for doing things right the first time, be full of great ideas for improving the customer journey and want to make sure customers go away with confidence that you and your team are there to support them and a repayment plan to get them back on track. You’ll be used to working in a team which supports one another and you’ll always deliver on your promises.
One very important thing to mention… this is a regulated financial services collections team leader role, so you’ll need to be able to pass quite a stringent credit check, which sadly will rule you out if you have recent missed payments, defaulted debts, CCJs, IVAs or bankruptcy which will show up on your credit check.
